information proliferation
in other words, too many accounts and too many files spread out over too many servers is forcing me to figure out how to consolidate everything and get some sort of master plan on how i want to go about making it all public.
which would all be much more relevant if someone was actually interested in the content i'm vomiting into public consciousness.
[sigh]
if you build it, will they come? hmmm.....only if they know about it.
off to do something more enlightening with my evening but don't fret i'm sure i'll be back with more jangslankin' tribibulation.

information upload download workload overload
what links are posted where? where are all the files? what needs to be updated? it's getting clear to me i need to be more organized about online content.
this is going to take some thought.
individual links on multiple pages are OUT.
each page is going to link to a single page that links to everything. music files served from one location. picture files served from one location.
consolidation.
off to make it so.

state of the blog
i added a bunch of new music on one of my servers- basically it's an entire overblown demo recording my old band (called, of all things, infidel) made waaaay back in the day. the recording was called Litterbox Sandwich. they're all full length recordings (128Kbps 44kHz MP3 files) i rescued from analog hell last year. they're all remastered 1) as well as can be done with the quality of source tape they came from, and 2) as much as i had the patience to deal with them last year. it took almost 18 months to compile those recordings and remaster them; hope someone actually listens to them and gets some enjoyment from them. if you're into renaming audio files you keep around, the correct album name would be "Litterbox Sandwich 2003 Remaster". all the files have the relevant metadata present for renaming purposes.
note that all the audio files i ever post anywhere are free to be distributed or used in any way as long as no one records their own performance of them or profits from their use without a prior arrangement with me; if you want to use them in those manners, click the link below this post to comment, and leave an email address- i'll get the message and we can work something out.
otherwise, enjoy the listening. if you like what you hear, point everyone you know to this page so they can hear 'em too!
coffee's done. stuff to do. wavers

foggy mornin' in the Pacific Northwest
Chowder sleepin' under my chair. good dog. supposed to be half border collie half black lab. doesn't really look like either. let 'im lie. draft from the door to the garage behind me. gotta fix that one of these days.
coffee's already gone. 17.2 smokes left. Marlboro UL 100s, for anyone curious. if i smoke enough of 'em maybe they'll stop tastin' like crap. light 100s already do. too bad they don't make superultralight 100s; then i could drag out quitting even longer.
EXACTLY two weeks unemployed. should finally get my first [gasp] $208 unemployment check this week. any luck at all and the next one will come in after i'm workin'. i applied for 28 jobs in the last two days. no response. i was even qualified for some of 'em. no, really, i was- i have skills, just not marketable ones. need something built? i'm yer guy. need yer computer fixed? call me. need heavy crap lugged between points A & B, over C and through D, without trampling E? no problem. need an in-depth analysis of Western scales and modes as pertaining to playability on guitar? c'est tout bon.
20 years reading anything i can get my hands on, gaining expertise with scores of industrial tools, exploring All Things Creative, expanding mind and skill with monomaniacal fanatacism....
i'm gonna end up lugging heavy crap around all summer again.
Chowder just groaned. time to make more coffee.
no sun today.
